I am quite pleased.

Yea I've had a bunch of friends talking about this. Mine is still about 24/4.5. But I'm wondering if in 6 mos when they get all the upgrades done, if they are going to say "Oh yea, btw, here's your 200gb/month limit back. Have fun with your higher speeds that you can't really take advantage of!"

I don't think they will do the limit again.. or if they do it will be closer to 1 TB or something.

Just watching netflix, downloading a couple games on steam and uploading shit for websites puts me over 200 gigs easy.

Btw.. You may have to reset your modem for the new speed to take effect.

No go. Damn. Ah well. I mean, the speeds I get are more than good enough so I'm not really concerned or anything lol

Looks like it's only for their Blast! & Extreme 50 speed groupings. Amusingly, the Blast! speed is what I pay for, but it's not the service type listed -_-

    Yeah I have Blast, too.
I was pretty happy with 25 mbit download, but 5 mbit upload was really killing me.
I am in the middle of uploading 500 gigs of porn to amazon glacier and its been taking forever.. But now that my upload speed has more than doubled it is making a huge difference.

    How fast is it?
At one time I think they were offering 100 mbit but I think Verizon scaled it back once they decided to put all their investment into the mobile networks where they can charge per gig.

Wondering if I should download their "speed optimizer" at some point.

That speed is not bad, but considering google fiber is 1000 mbps, it really makes you wonder why Verizon is holding back so much.

And whatever the hell the "speed optimizer" does, I am willing to bet it has no effect on your internet speeds.

I think verizon spends too much money/time advertising when they could be making their products better.
