Yeah. I took the SAT's in the 7th grade and I scored well enough to get into pretty much any school barring Ivy League.

Is it possible by through some cosmic force or fate that we all just lump up together? I mean, many of us seem to show such surprise when dumb shit like this happens, but... it happens ALL THE TIME. So does that mean our perceptions are dulled because we are surrounded by mostly other 'smart' peoples? Are we all magnets for each other???

Yep elections will be won or lost by those who are talking on their cell phones in movies, and wear their cell 'headphone' 24-7. If you take the time to look around, it's amazing how little knowledge and thought people operate on. Most seem to be just floating though life.

Alas, the military is full of stooopit people. And stupid ways of thinking--or non-thinking. Occassionally I get disillusioned by the mediocrity around me, the standards that we set for ourselves and the lack of accountability.

I was recently enrolled in an EMT class to recertify so that I can keep all of my ratings. This instructor had found out that I have a graduate degree and asked me how it felt having a master's and taking a 10th grade-level class.

*sigh*

I agree Airbornedoc, it's a shame that the politicians still see us as a dumping ground for the ill-educated or a ticket to colelge, not as defenders of the nation. Those who stand against the storm while others hide behind us. The only thing worse is their tendency to play games with the funds and the manning that we need in order to accomplish our mission. My next boss is in Kosovo right now. Does anyone remember that we went there and that we failed to accomplish our stated goals? It's a shame that no one has payed attention to that ongoing mission since Bill Clinton got caught having his dick sucked. It's clear to me that no one really cares about us, and it's all a power game on 'The Hill.' Too bad our lives are on the line.
