Default Drone war.

I want to hear thoughts. I don't know too much about all of this, but I've gotten a taste of a few different sides and it's just so hard to find truth in anything you read now a days that has to do with the government and war. I really want to hear others opinions and maybe get some reliable sources to form an opinion of my own about it. From what I've heard/read so far I'm very disappointed Kind of sounds like our country is being run by terrorists, but I could be getting a very biased view on it all.

Article to start conversation, and GO!

Not even a full day had passed before newly reelected President Obama ordered another drone strike in Yemen.

A U.S. drone strike targeted a group of al-Qaida militants on the outskirts of the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Wednesday night, killing at least three terrorists, government officials said.

Huffington Post:

A White House spokesman did not respond to a request for comment. If it were a American strike, of course, it would have to have been authorized by Obama.

The drone war violates both domestic and international law, and the Obama administration’s vehement disdain for transparency in government is the only thing keeping it from public and legal scrutiny. Beyond the law, it’s terrorism.

Yeah this drone stuff has been going on throughout his presidency, and I'm not happy about it.

Ya, a few things I read/heard were
1. he was doing drone attacks on targeted "terrorists" every 4 days the first 2 years of his first term
2. 49 civilians are killed for every 1 "terrorist" they hit
3. within 10 years there's expected to be 30,000 drones flying/bombing? US
4. we used to have consent for our drones in other countries. We'd send them a message saying where ours would be and when etc. They'd send a response acknowledging that. But apparently they stopped responding and we're saying that they're still consenting because they haven't tried shooting down our drones or crashing into them...

Now these are random things I've heard/read places, so I can't say anything about the accuracy, reliability, or credibility or any of it. That's what I'm looking to figure out though.

I think I mentioned this on another post, but the President is giving the CIA way to much power. I think someone is convincing him to do some pretty shady stuff.

I don't think there is anything shady about it.. This is the power we unanimously gave the government on 9/11. We declared war on terror and vowed to bring that war to any corner of the earth.
The entire planet is a battlefield and every human is a terror suspect.
That is what we chose and we will have to live the rest of our lives this way.
Going back in our lifetimes will be very hard.
It started with Bush, Obama continued, and the next president and the next president and so on will do the same.

That said. I have mixed feelings on the whole thing.
On one hand, I prefer the use of drones or highly targeted attacks.
We do not yet live in a world without war, so until we do the best we can hope for is this rather than having thousands of soldiers and civillians getting killed and entire countries laying in ruin.

However, the idea that you could be anywhere in the world and someone somewhere could decide to kill you from the sky, is quite scary. When there is no official declaration of war, aside from pointing to the declared war on terror and when there is no due process.. It is very worrisome. You start to wonder when it will happen at home, you wonder where the line will be drawn or if there is any line at all.

At this point, I am not terribly scared. But I am paying attention to it.

I have a few feelings about the drones. One. is that its better to save a soldier by using a drone or robot in battle. two. who controls them, is it really the president or the shadow government. three. I dont approve of our police departments using them{and they have started already}. We really should just get out of there and start concentrating on our infrastructure and our children's education. cmon guys ya didnt learn from the russians...
